A career in welding offers a vast array of options for employment and continuing personal development. 焊接 is the most common way to permanently join metal parts. Heat is applied to the pieces that are being joined; melting and fusing them together which forms a permanent bond.

The 焊接 程序 not only provides students with a thorough background in welding and related theory, but also prepares students with the knowledge and skills needed to take three national certification examinations:

• American Society of Mechanical Engineers
• 美国石油学会
• American 焊接 Society’s 焊接 Code

The Pipe 焊接 certificate is only offered in the spring semester, during the day.

圆满完成 焊接工艺师证书 or 焊接AAS度 程序.

学生 must earn a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher to be eligible for graduation from the 程序.
